Bay County Eastside Little League 2021 Season

League Update

Happy Wednesday to the BCELL family.  Little League International has strongly recommended that we delay our season until May 11th.  This fits with the CDC and State of Michigan recommendations to refrain from gatherings of multiple people.  This certainly is not the way we envisioned our inaugural season happening.

Little League International will take the lead on establishing guidelines for tournament eligibility for the 2020 tournament season (i.e. All-Stars).  As of this moment, no decisions have been made yet.  We hope this alleviates any concerns on the impact this situation has on tournament play, so that families can focus on the health and well-being of themselves and their community at this time.

That all said, the BCELL board of directors has met (through internet/web meetings) so we are prepared to start the season as soon as we get to a safe point and time.  We are in a bit of a holding pattern right now, with no massive changes or cancellations to anything our league plans to do.    We are continuing to work on design plans for the new facility too.

So please bear with us as we put everything on pause for now and to get prepared to put a season together once all these restrictions ease up.  In the meantime, we will be posting videos and other training ideas on our Facebook page that your players can do at home.  Even if it is as simple as tossing a tennis ball up, to work on hand/eye coordination.

Let us know if you have questions or concerns and please stay safe and healthy!!
