Bay County Eastside Little League 2024 Season

Content

The Bay City Northeast Little League was founded in 1952.

During the history of Northeast, the League has provided a solid baseball foundation for hundreds of children who went on to show their talents through high school, college and the Professional Minor Leagues.

Originally the League’s home field, Catsman Field, was at the corners of Belinda and Water Streets but had to relocate due to redevelopment of the area.

The League’s home field temporarily moved to Carroll Park until it was relocated in the mid 70’s to an area right on Saginaw River.

A short time later, due to expansion of the city waste water treatment facility, the league was relocated again to its current location at Sovereign Field on the corner of Woodside and Trumbull Streets.

Northeast currently has four major, four mid majors, four machine-pitch, and four t-ball teams.

Our fundraising activities include a League wide 50/50 raffle with tickets sold by each little league participant,  an annual golf outing, in-game 50/50 drawings,  the sale of (advertisement) business signs, the sale of t-shirts and hats to our fans and our concession stand sales.

The concession is operated by volunteers and staffed by local high school students earning volunteer hours towards their graduation goals.

Since 2010 our league has almost doubled in size with the addition of more divisions and we have continued each year to do major improvements to the field/park and its facilities with the goal of improving the experience for the ball players and their families.
